By placing an order your agreeing to our terms and conditions and of the terms relating to the appropriate domain registry

  1. Orders are placed on a first come first served basis and very occasionally a domain may show as unregistered when it is actually unavailable, in this case a refund or a credit will be offered.
  2. Once domains are registered they cannot be "unregistered" without cost please ensure the spelling and the extension are correct BEFORE completing the order.
  3. Refunds are fully at the discretion of the mangement except in the case of clause 1 where this will be automatic.
  4. The price you see on the web site is the price you pay, there is NO additional charges, fees or taxes (excluding VAT) in registering the domain name
  5. Domains are registered immediately payment is confirmed, it can take up to 24 hours for the name to be visible over the Internet this is due to how quickly the worlds nameservers catch up, in most cases this is done in around 2hrs but please allow 24hrs before placing a support issue. You will have an email within minutes of registering your name to confim the registration details, please quote this reference number in all communication. if a support issue is required please enter this via the support mechanism
  6. Alba provides nameservers as part of the domain cost, you can of course use your own services if required
  7. Web holding and forwarding services are available if you just wish to park the domain while deveoping a site.
  8. Domains registered through our site can be transferred and/or modified without charge, while this is current some registrars are considering changes particularly UK (Nominet) if this becomes the case a charge may be applied to registrant changes and transfers. Particular note should be made of UK registrant transfers Nominet impose a a fee of £10 + VAT to change the registrant details this is outwith our scale of charges
  9. Incoming domains may incur a charge to cover costs invloved in setting up the account, these charges are covered in our money back guarantee
  10. It is essential that you keep the domain contact information up to date, in particular the e-mail address as this is where any renewal reminders will be sent.
  11. Renewals will start to be sent at 60 days prior to the registration, it is advisable to renew at least 14 days before the deadline, no loss of registration time is made your renewal period is simply added on to the existing renwal date. a)Alba does not normally offer automatic renewals due to the security and finacial aspects of holding credit card information for long periods of time.b) Automatic renewals are available for account holders
  12. Payments are transacted through Google Checkout ( Credit, debit cards) this ensures the highest of security with your information, Alba also employes a SSL secured client system for your security. In addition Alba also offers payment by cheque ( clearance times apply) Bank transfer, E-gold and Paypal ( authorised accounts only)
  13. Support Issues are dealt with in a speedy manner and we will endevour to to resolve any problems within 1 working day or contact you to inform you of any delay in resolving your query.
  14. Cancellations after the registration is complete is not available, please ensure you have the correct registration before completing.
  15. Offline registrations are availble for certain domain types are are at present done manually, we will add on to the automatic system as soon as the registries can provide this service. Manual registration clients will receive e-mail notification of when the registration is complete and should have the same turnaround time as the online system.
  16. International domain registration is protected by various laws of the country involved, please check all terms and conditions for the domain you are proposing. By ordering the domain you are agreeing to these terms and conditions along with the relevant cctld terms and conditions

  18. All domains are registered in your own name for .com/net/org/info/biz names we strongly suggest the use of whois protection as it is widely known that scammers and spammers use whois data mining techniques to extract data that is then used against you - free whois protection is available from Alba

  20. The laws governing the appropriate domain registrations are subject to the law of the originating country, all other legal issues are subject to Scottish law.
  21. All sales are final names and services remain the property of Alba Trading until paid in full.
